I’m New

Sue Nicholls (Assistant Pastor) & Paul Hudson (Senior Pastor)

Welcome to Dewsbury Elim! It’s our joy and pleasure to have you visiting us to see what God is doing through our family in Dewsbury, throughout the UK and other parts of the world for Christ.Take a look at our Events and Newsletter… it’s not just about the Sunday, with events happening throughout every week.

I want to know more about God…

Looking for God is an excellent website that helps you discover more about who God is, His love for every person across the planet, and what it means to be a believer and follower of His Son, Jesus.

What is our service like?

Services are upbeat, vibrant and family friendly with powerful preaching and lively worship. To us it’s about being part of God’s family. During the morning service, we normally have communion together. The worship is led by a young, lively worship team playing a mixture of contemporary and traditional worship songs.

Parking is usually available at our Daisy Hill location on-street or opposite the building. As you enter the church building you will be welcomed by our welcomers. Feel free to ask them any questions you may have. We give out Welcome Bags to any newcomers, whether just visiting the area or looking for a church, so expect this to happen during the service. As we’re a church family, we will also be celebrating other events such as birthdays.

How do we worship?

We simply seek to worship God with all of our hearts because of who He is and what He has done for us. We encourage people to be open before God so that we can bless Him with our praise, to experience His presence and know His love -there’s nothing like it!

What should I wear?

Some people feel comfortable in a suit or a dress, while others feel better in a shirt and pair of jeans! Appearance should obviously be of some importance to everyone, but the Bible says that God looks upon the heart and not the outward appearance, so don’t stress too much about the dress!

What will my kids do?

During our morning service, all babies, children and youth between the ages of 0-16 are invited to go out to their own activities part-way through the service which is held upstairs. All of our workers have been CRB checked and we have a Child Protection Policy. For the evening service the kids remain in the church – this is never a problem!

Service Times

We meet on a Sunday morning at 10:30am until around 12pm, and at 6pm til around 7.30pm in the evening.

The children and young people stay with us for the first part of the service, before heading off to their individual meetings. There is also a crèche facility for very young children.
